Gearbox is the Strongest Synchronized TR-3650 on the Planet. Gearbox is Dyno-Tested with Mercon Dexron III ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) before it leaves our Warehouse. But, shipping carriers WILL NOT ALLOW GEARBOXES TO CONTAIN FLUID WHEN SHIPPED. So, we drain all units of fluid before palletized and shipped. End user MUST FILL GEARBOX BEFORE OPERATION.
We provide two different fluids separately from Gearbox that HAS to be filled and/or installed into gearbox before Operation. We supply an Additive, known as GF2000, that is basically a 75/140W Gear Oil that has a special "agent" blended to reduce the chance of Pitting from the Premium 9310 Alloy Steel. We tell end user to fill gearbox with both quarts of additive first. Then top off gearbox with Mobil 1 Synthetic, provided by Astro Performance. Do not install both bottles of Mobil 1. The total capacity of this gearbox is 3.17 Qts. So, given the 2 Qts. of GF2000 Additive have to be installed "completely" before topping off with Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF, you will only need to install a little over 1 Qt. of the Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF. Failure to follow these instructions voids any and all Warranty provided by Astro Performance. This means from day one to the end of using this gearbox in the same application, you must always run this special "cocktail" of fluid. If you decide to change the fluid in gearbox after break-in or at your 1st engine oil change, you will need to call in to reorder the special additive. The Additive is not found in popular automotive parts stores across the nation. We offer it separately for approximately $20 a quart.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ROYAL PURPLE TRANSMISSION FLUID. ROYAL PURPLE FLUID HAS PROVEN TO HAVE SOMETHING IN IT WHEN SUPPLIED THAT ACTUALLY EATS AWAY AT THE "BONDING AGENT" USED TO STICK THE FABRIC LININGS TO OUTER STEEL OR BRASS BLOCKER RINGS. WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WARRANTY ANY UNIT THAT HAS HAD ROYAL PURPLE FLUID INSTALLED.

ASTRO PERFORMANCE WAREHOUSE WILL PAY RETURN FREIGHT OF CORE BEING RETURNED AS LONG AS CORE IS PALLETIZED AND ABLE TO BE PICKED UP FROM A BUSINESS/COMMERCIAL ADDRESS. Core Exchange,will end up getting the End User a 1 Year Limited Warranty on Gearbox purchased from date of Installation AS WELL AS A CORE REFUND!
$250 Core Refund Given once Core is Returned and Deemed Complete. Complete means Gearbox has to be returned as a complete "Assembled" Transmission. We do not need the shifter, transmission mount, cross-member, or clutch fork. Please remember to drain core of all fluid before returning.
1 Year Limited Warranty:
As stated above Core Exchange (Freight Pre-Paid by End User) equals end user getting up to a 1 Year Limited Warranty on Gearbox Purchased. Core has to be exchanged within 30 Days of taking receipt of the Gearbox we Rebuild/Remanufacture.
1 Year Limited Warranty covers Gearbox for 1 Year to Not Leak, Grind going in or out of Gear, Pop Out of Gear, and to Not Whine or Vibrate. Astro Performance Warehouse is not responsible for Gearbox Installation or Removal (aka R&R). We are not the installer of Gearbox sold. And, since this is a Remanufactured 5 Speed Transmission, it DOES NOT include all Brand New Internals. The Gearbox we assemble has been professionally rebuilt with all broken/worn/damaged internals replaced. Once Gearbox is built it is then Dyno-Tested on our one of 3 Transmission Dynos we have at our disposal. The Dyno Testing is performed to insure that the gearbox sold is free from defects in craftsmanship/workmanship. Not to mention a way to test the gearbox for issues before it is shipped across the Country or World. Oil is installed into Gearbox to perform the Dyno-Test. But, then they are drained before shipment...as Trucking Lines do not allow Transmissions to have Oil installed for transit.
CUSTOMER MUST FILL GEARBOX WITH SPECIFIED FLUID WHICH WILL BE LABELED ON WIRE TAG ATTACHED TO TRANSMISSION PURCHASED.
Ship To Freight Charge is Added on Top of Gearbox Purchase Price Listed Here. Please email email@example.com for Freight Quote. Please include in email for Quote the Full Ship To Freight Location as to where the Gearbox will be shipped. Also, make sure to put what the Part# of Gearbox is you would like to have quoted. We will send an additional Invoice to Collect for the Ship To Freight of the Gearbox you purchase. The Invoice will accompany a "Request for Payment" via Paypal from Astro Performance Warehouse to acquire the Freight Cost within 24 Business Hours of Gearbox being purchased.
Gearbox built is Boxed and Strapped to a Half Pallet for shipping. Shipping with a Half Pallet provides for better quotes on Ship To Freight. In addition, Shipping to a Business Address vs a Residential Address is a LOT CHEAPER! Anyone that decides this Gearbox is the correct one for the application needs to consider finding a Business/Commercial Address to have this gearbox shipped to. If a Residential Address is selected, we will know as each address is checked online for accuracy so when Bill of Lading for Trucking Line is made there will be no surprise charges for Residential Delivery added! Plus, any gearbox shipped to a Residence will be more expensive as not only is Residential Delivery more expensive, it also requires two people being at Residential Address to unload the Gearbox Pallet once it arrives, and, if two people are not available at destination gearbox will be delivered to driver will charge a +$75 Freight Charge/Add On for a Lift Gate Option. If the end user has to have truck driver deliver via using the Lift Gate, we notify Trucking Company to "Collect" for additional Freight Charge as we cannot charge that "specialty addon" after the gearbox has been delivered. So, we leave it up to trucking line to collect it from end user. Again, the only way you can get the lift-gate service is by requesting it up front in the "Notes Section" of order. A stated above, the Lift Gate Service by itself is $75.
Return Freight of Core:
If an End User would like to use our Truck Freight Discount to have their Core returned to our Warehouse, End User should notify us up front in the "Notes Section" of Order or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org It is important for us to know how and when you would like to return the core. We can add the Return Freight Charge of Core to the same invoice we send for the "Ship To Freight". We would label both freight charges on the invoice & "request for payment" when emailed to you.
Customer would be responsible to box & palletize the Core. For those that decide to use our Return Freight Service, they can use the same pallet and box we ship the Reman Unit in to have their core returned. The box that the gearbox we ship to you is in must be kept as most trucking lines require a box around the outside of the transmission being shipped. If for some reason the box is thrown out, end user must put some form of cardboard protection around or on top of the gearbox that is strapped to so gearbox is completely covered. Once core is covered and strapped customer needs to send and email to email@example.com with the following details:
1.) Business Name & Address Core is to be picked up from
2.) Date as to when Core needs picked up
3.) Hours of Operation of Business where Core will be picked up
4.) Email Address or Fax Number where Bill of Lading (shipping documents) can be sent
Please note, Astro Performance will arrange all of the shipping documents and schedule pickup for end user that wants to use our shipping discount for Return of Core. We will email or fax the documents to customer specified location. Customer must print out 3 copies of the Bill of Lading we email or fax. 1 Copy is for Customer to keep once driver puts a sticker of Tracking Number Core being returned will have to prove shipment. 2nd Copy is for the Driver to keep to hand to trucking line. And, 3rd Copy is to be placed/taped to cardboard box to act as a shipping label for core to be returned. Once the Core is successfully picked up and returned to one of our 2 warehouses, we will issue a 1 Year Limited Warranty Sheet via Email to the end user to fill out and return. 1 Year Limited Warranty Sheet can be faxed, emailed, or mailed to us.
AGAIN, CORE MUST BE RETURNED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF DATE OF RECEIPT OF GEARBOX WE SELL/SEND TO END USER TO QUALIFY FOR 1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY.
